Now, it is obvious that we all listen music, part of our daily routine. Whether it is Rock, Pop, Jazz, Metal or Lo-fi we all like to listen music based on our taste, there is no denying in that. But does your productivity or efficiency really increase after you connect to your headphones enjoying your favorite theme ? What does music do to your body and mood ? 

Now we all know the answer to that question is always a yes. Music triggers 'reward chemicals' in the brain. It means to reward oneself after a long working shift or completing that one project. Dopamine is responsible of our joy and signal for our pleasure and reward. Music can provide you with more than one happy hormone, Dopamine is one of them. Endorphins which help us to manage and deal with stress, no wonder listening to music make our head light. Serotonin stabilize our mood. Oxytocin which is responsible for the "love" type feeling and even to have "trust". Well known as the "happy hormones", there are different causes of getting them released in our body providing immense pleasure. 

Some of the activities are- exercise, sexual activity, having a good laugh, meditation etc. They all can help in uplifting your mood during tough time but music securing the spot, is the most easiest way which is responsible for the release of dopamine and other happy hormones in our brain. No doubt why people look for songs that make you happy.


Is listening to music while studying good

Does listening to music help you study ? A study conducted in 2007 by Stanford University showed that music has a profound effect while studying. Many other studies have shown that Classical Music helps the brain easily break up big chunks of information into smaller bits and store them. Classical music boosted cognitive abilities along with memory in older adults. Listening to slow and soft classical music helps in increasing reasoning power.

What about loud music? Some love to listen heavy metal songs, but studies have showed that loud music, beats is not well suited with studies. Loud music may result to weak muscle memory and subconscious acts, it will increase your chances of making mistakes or unstable mind. Whereas Lo-Fi or Vocal music or even some pleasant music running in the background can help your mind concentration and mind focus a bit more in studies. But not everything is as nice is it seems when it comes to addiction~

What's wrong with listening to music daily, not much, but addiction to anything is considered as bad. Comparatively, music developing into an addiction is not as bad as it should be , but it becomes to a problem when we rely on music too much, when it disrupts the functioning of body. To simply explain music can be responsible for your absent mindedness. At some time you need to hold back. You might be listening to it before having a sleep or always inserting the earphones into ears. This will damage your body both physically and mentally. You are relying on music more than it should be. 

Instead of increasing your efficiency it maybe making you dull and weak physically and mentally. You should know when you need to cut back yourself. Major music addiction signs are- Being massively addicted to music listening songs constantly for more than three to four hours, feel less enthusiasm and unable to concentrate without the getting taste of your favorite playlist, taking your music to everywhere like in bathroom, bed, while driving, walking.

So what's the nutshell of the story ? Music is not bad as always said addiction to anything is considered as "bad". Also keep in mind that music does not work as a magic spell which will boost your IQ and help you in learning stuff increasing your intelligence or making you more productive than others. It is not like that, music dose sur helps you in way of relaxing your body and mind from everyday stress. If you listen to your favorite just to pass time or enjoy even loud music is not bad in this case. We like to perform things according to our need, for some there is no necessity of music. For those who are the music lovers if you feel down or distracted from the main focus it is okay to leave everything aside for some time and reward yourself with your favorite playlist.
